YLA offers an extensive variety of testing services for its customers. YLA maintains a full spectrum of testing capabilities for prepregs, adhesives, syntactic and honeycomb cores and molding compounds. Analysis ranges from physical and chemical analysis to mechanical testing of laminates, from cryogenic to elevated temperatures. YLA also supports a full range of analysis including FTIR, rheometrics, DSC, TGA, HPLC, phototmicrographic and dielectric testing. We offer a complete suite of tests that are required for product qualification, certification and customer acceptance.

Mechanical/Physical testing equipment includes:

• 800° F / 300 psig autoclave and control system
• Chevalier 1632 precision cutting/specimen preparation system
• 60 kip UTS computer controlled tension/compression load frame
• Environmental test chamber and high temperature fixtures: -290° F to +1100° F mechanical test capability
• MDS 2000 rapid laminate digestion system for repeatable, precise fiber and void volume data
• Micro-photographic analysis

Chemical/Analytical testing equipment includes:

• 2-18 GHz dielectric and loss tangent testing for low loss materials
• Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) Spectroscopy
